The geomatics division specializes in providing surveying services for oil and gas facilities, major
infrastructure projects, highways, bridges, LRT expansions, and sewer and water projects
throughout Western Canada.
Federally incorporated with extra-provincial registrations, Delta North Geomatics has the capacity and experience to work across Canada.

We offer conventional construction surveying, 3D laser scanning, drone photogrammetry,
LiDAR mapping for vegetated areas, and precision rail alignment using Gedo Rail Trolley
technology.

MATERIALS TESTING

Material Testing division operates from our 4,500 sq. ft. office and laboratory facility in
Sherwood Park, Alberta. Conveniently located near the intersection of Anthony Henday Drive
and Yellowhead Trail, we are strategically positioned to support projects throughout Edmonton,
across Alberta, and throughout Western Canada.

We are a CCIL-certified laboratory for concrete, soil, and aggregate testing, and are licensed by
the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) to transport and operate nuclear density
gauges (densometers). Our experienced team, state-of-the-art equipment, and commitment to
quality allow us to provide reliable and responsive materials testing services for projects of any
size and complexity.

Concrete Testing Services
Delta North provides comprehensive concrete testing both in the field and in our laboratory.
Our facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art Forney compressive strength testing machine,
featuring computerized software for accurate and timely reporting of results. Our services
include:
• Field sampling and testing during concrete pours
• Cylinder preparation using end-grinding for precision
• Compressive strength testing at 7-day, 28-day, or project-specified intervals• Quality control checks on sample geometry (perpendicularity, flatness, and parallelism)
• Rapid reporting and data dissemination to clients

Aggregate & Soil Testing Services
Delta North offers certified laboratory and field testing services for aggregates and soils,
supporting a wide range of construction projects. Our capabilities include:
• CCIL-certified testing for aggregates and soils
• Field density testing using the latest Xplorer 2 nuclear densometers with integrated GPS
tracking
• Sieve analysis, proctor compaction testing, and moisture-density relationship testing
• Quality control and assurance testing for roadwork, foundations, underground utilities,
and site development
• Support for remote projects across Western Canada and beyond, including recent work
on Highway 44 near Westlock, Alberta

Pile Monitoring & Inspection Services
Delta North provides detailed pile monitoring services for all major pile types, ensuring that
installations meet project specifications and industry standards. Led by Joel Field-Ridley, P.Eng.,
and supported by a senior operations manager with over 35 years of experience, our team
delivers accurate data and detailed reporting for every pile installation.
